Larcomar Mall’s Awesome Sunset View
Built into the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the late 1990’s, Larcomar is a trendy, tri-level megamall located in the Milaflores district, an affluent part of Lima. It is frequented by tens of thousands of visitors each year, including cruise ship tourists.
At the closing of each day, 100’s of patrons abandon the stores, fast food joints and the upper level park to line up along the cliff’s railing to get a glimpse of one of Peru’s most famous tourist attractions, a breathtaking sunset.
As the fiery ball descends into the vast waters of the Pacific Ocean, it gives its audience a variety of unforgettable poses. When swallowed up by waters, witnesses to this awesome event disappear as well and go about their business.
