In Medellin – Welcome to My Neighborhood

You’re looking at my living quarters for the month. The diverse flora surrounding the Pablado neighborhood only enhances this living experience.

Exito, our local store, is a stone’s throw away from our apartment - kinda like a 7-11 on steroids. It has a small fruits ‘n veggie section, assortment of meats, eggs and any emergency items we might need.

Just outside the store, a street vendor cut up some fresh mango to go with our breakfast – approximately $1.50 for two cups.

I had breakfast right around the corner with Nicholas at Ganso y Castor Cafe. That translates to ‘Goose and Beaver’. I don’t believe either is on the menu. That superb morning meal, which included juice and coffee and the shared mango was about $9.50! At those prices, I might not have to cook this month!

And just around the corner and down the hill…
